Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This page explains what cookies and similar technologies King Typing uses, why we use them, and how you can control them.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. Cookies help websites remember information about your visit — such as whether you are logged in — so you don't have to re-enter it every time.

2. Cookies we use

Essential cookies

These cookies are necessary for the service to function. Without them you cannot stay logged in or play the game.

  • sessionToken — stores your JWT authentication token so you remain logged in across page loads and browser sessions. Duration: 30 days.

Analytics cookies

These cookies help us understand how players use King Typing so we can improve the game. They do not identify you personally.

  • PostHog (ph_*) — tracks page views, feature usage, and session activity. Hosted on PostHog's EU cloud (eu.posthog.com) — no data leaves the EU. Privacy policy

Third-party cookies

These cookies are set by third-party services that King Typing integrates with. We do not control their content.

  • Google (OAuth) — used when you sign in with Google. Google may set cookies on google.com to manage your authentication session. Privacy policy
  • Stripe — used when you make a purchase. Stripe sets cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. Privacy policy

3. How to manage cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Here are links to instructions for the most common browsers:

Note: disabling the sessionToken cookie will log you out and prevent you from signing in. Analytics and third-party cookies can be blocked without affecting core gameplay.

4. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision.
